The Heins Boys, February 2012
We didnt get a picture of them together for this month, but look how handsome my babies are!!!
The Heins’ Boys, January 2012
Here’s hoping my internet connection holds out.
January saw the onset of my worst bout of morning sickness yet. I was pretty much confined to the couch until the middle of March. Everything made me nauseous. The laundry only got done when someone ran out of underwear or pants and the dishes were only done when we had no plates left. It was a grim situation in our house for a good long time. Its only now, really, that my energy is back and the nausea is well controlled. Just last weekend, I cleaned off the kitchen counters to my specifications.
Life is looking up.
Dinner Conversation
I know I’m way overdue for an update to the blog. We’re working out an internet situation here chez Heins’. But I had to share this evening’s discussion before I forgot it. I felt it important enough to brave the hideously slow connection we’re currently operating under.
Nate: Daddy, I have to tell you something
Dad: Ok, what is it, Bubba?
Nate: Baby cows are called calves.
Dad: They sure are
Nate: Girl cows are called cows
Dad: Yep, that’s right
Nate: Boy cows are bulls
Dad: Uh huh
Nate: They live in a herd.
Jon turns 31!
We had a little family party for Jon for his 31st birthday. Big thanks to Aunt Kay for taking a picture of Jon and his boys while I was running around like a crazy person.
And a big thanks to Auntie Colleen for stepping in and taking over the cooking while I dealt with blood and other last minute crises.
All the toys in the world
….and Evan plays with an old computer keyboard.
Christmas 2011
As previously mentioned, we were all spoiled rotten. It has been a lovely holiday with the boys and Christmas is so much fun through the eyes of a child.
Adventures in Gingerbread architecture
I sent Jon to Michaels for some ribbon to package up the baking. He came home with a gingerbread house kit to do with the boys. We figured it would be Evan that would be eating the candies, but Evan was all about the construction. Nate’s interest waned after the icing was made.
The Heins Boys, December 2011
Oh what a month. Between Christmas baking, Christmas parties, Christmas itself…wow. Busy month. The boys were fantastic, even with all the schedule interruptions (ironically enough, as I write this, Jon is arguing with Nate over bedtime and there is an epic hissy fit in progress….and his schedule has been fairly consistent the past two days….weird).
