Playing at Gramma’s

After all the boat-related fun, we went back to Gramma’s for lunch. It was so much fun to spend a few days at Gramma’s house. She does make it easy on a mom, that’s for sure. Evan was exhausted from his outdoors excursion to the locks (even though he did sleep through most of it)….and he had a good nap on Gramma:
After everyone woke up from their nap, it was snack time and then outside. Nate really does love it outside, and I think that’s the first request he made once he woke up, “We go outside now?” with a charming little grin on his face that makes it almost impossible to say no to him. We played in the pool, he kicked the soccer ball around. I had bought a package of foam airplanes that you can launch using an elastic. Those were a BIG hit.
While I cant say that he slept well that night (he was up for an hour at three am when he realized that I was sleeping in the room with him and had a temper tantrum when I wouldnt get up and get him a drink….three am….I finally gave in and we went back to sleep at four), he didnt fight us to go to bed the way he had for the past few months. So I’ll take the small victory where I can.
And thank goodness for Grammas to wear out little boys!!
