Algonquin Park, July 2011

The only photographic evidence of this trip was the drive home. We figured it would be a good idea to prove that we all made it out alive.

We packed the boys into the truck, met up with Uncle Mike and Aunt Carla and Claira and headed for a day at High Falls in Algonquin Park. It was a beautiful, sunny day and I am VERY thankful we decided to take the boat and a motor because otherwise, Evan would have lost his mind. As it was, we kept him occupied with muffins and juice the entire way there and back.

Jon and Nate had a blast playing in the rapids and going down the natural water slide at High Falls. Aunt Carla, Claira, Evan and I sat in the less busy, less fast water and enjoyed some people watching. We went for a short hike to a bigger (and louder) set of falls, then came back, packed up the boat and headed home.

A long day, we didnt get home until after ten (with Evan chattering away in the back seat) but totally worth it. I hope Uncle Mike has some pictures…I seem to recall a camera being brought along. :)
