Evan’s First Birthday Extravaganza

I cant believe Evan is already one. He’s crawling and sometimes he’ll chatter away. Depends on the day though. Evan is most definitely his mother’s son. Doesnt really care for a lot of people or noise, likes things a certain way, loses his temper on a regular basis….you know, all those fun Arnott/Chilton characteristics that we know and love.

And you may have to work to get a giggle, but its so totally worth it. Every smile and every laugh is that much more special because they are few and far between.

In one short year.

For Evan’s birthday there was two parties. One at home with friends and the Heins’ family (another very big thank you to Auntie Colleen for all the help getting dinner on the table. I dont know what I would do without you. And thank you to Lady B for allowing your mom to help Auntie Stacey in the kitchen all night!)

Camera battery died. So there’s really only a handful of pictures. Miss Claira was exhausted but came to celebrate with us anyway. We dont get to see her as often as we did on mat leave and Mom and Evan miss Aunt Carla and Claira, so its always good to see them.

After a great Saturday party, Sunday meant it was off to Kemptville to celebrate with Gramma C, the Greats (uncles and aunts, that is), Aunt Sami and Uncle Ty (who had just gotten home from B.C. We’re so happy he could make it to celebrate with his nephew!)

We’re still not sure who had more fun, the Great Uncles or the birthday boy and his brother. We do know that Uncle Scott can rock a mini-Superman-cape.
