Attempted Portraits
I made an appointment at Loblaws. I packed two boys in all their winter gear. I drove 20 minutes to the Loblaws. I unpacked both boys. I tamed some VERY unruly hair. I had them looking like angels. I waited for an additional ten minutes. Then I noticed the sign. The portrait studio was not open until ten. Which is sort of strange since I had an appointment at 9:40.
I asked the clerk. After a five minute discussion with her, I begin packing up the boys. Frustration seeping from every pore in my body. She calls the Orleans store, which I had already assured her I had not made an appointment with. Funny thing, my appointment was there. Its funny because I called the Loblaws Gloucester store to book the appointment and I have no idea where the Orleans store is.
After storming out….ok, well it would have been a better ‘storming out’ had Nate not said a cheerful goodbye to each and every store employee on our way out…I came home and decided to attempt portraits of my own of Evan. Here is the result:
Not bad, if I do say so myself. I may attempt again before making an appointment somewhere else. This time I’ll double check that the right place is calling me back. *sigh*
